So glad you are here. Maybe, with your experience in ning and setting up your own community, you can give advice, insight, opinion on best direction for Elle, etc.
This is an experimental site, so critiquing it does not in any way offend me – compare and contrast with other platforms.
I love your new site… but have no idea what it takes to run something like that and whether it is cost effective for Bonnie.
Make groups or whatever. Love to have you here and to hear whatever you have to say

THanks for the welcome. I’m now just orienting myself to WordPress. My new site is on Drupal, i’m not sure about it for blogging, i think wordpress is really probably the best rought.
Personally, i think we should avoid the social networking style of site. the focus should be on the blogposts and writers, not the visitors.

You have by now put up the new ‘Elle’, but I do think that the future of such concepts such as ‘Elle’ need to be more about the visitors, and that forums and social networking serves that goal far better. It does take more oversight.
I hope the best for us continuing with the older style of blogging. Yet, I think the focus is going to have to be more inclusive of the reader than before. Discussion is everything on a site about morality and Christian issues. If they want to hear a preacher they go to Church.
I commented on the new site, and already I felt it was stilted in addressing a particular person’s writing.It seems like debate is taking place with the writer… when what is wanted is lively discussion that takes on the topic at hand.
If you’d like to consider this site for use as a forum – connection adjunct to ‘Elle- maybe that would work? i’m really intrigued with the way the social network stuff works and would like to see how it is on the smaller scale like this.
